Breast cancer develops due to some tissues in the breast.

Invasive Breast cancer: The cancer cells that break out from inside the lobules or ducts and further invade nearby tissues, that increase the chance of spreading to the rest of the body.

Non- Invasive breast cancer: When the cancer is still inside its place of origin and has not broken out. However, these cells eventually develop into invasive breast cancer.  

After learning about the symptoms, risk factors and types let’s talk about the diagnosis now. Diagnosis is done as a result of routine screening or when the woman approaches doctor after noticing some symptoms. Following examinations are done by the doctors to confirm the cancer:

Breast Examination to check the lumps or some discharge.

Imaging Test: A type of X-ray for breast cancer screening that can detect any lump or abnormalities.

Biopsy: A tissue sample is surgically removed for the laboratory analysis. This sample helps in detecting the cancer and the type of cancer the patient has.

Using the above factors if the cancer gets detect, the treatment of the same depends of few of the following factors:

  • The kind of Breast cancer.
  • The cancer stages.
  • Hormonal sensitivity
  • Patient’s age and health.
